Instant Scratch Repair in a Bottle!

Makes scratches "disappear" right before your eyes...

Why Choose Hot-Stuff Instant Adhesive?

The great family of Hot-Stuff products has many uses in the shop and on the jobsite.

This super-fast Instant Glue has been around for 39 years, but has only recently found its way into stone fabrication shops across the country.

Similar to the fast-acting catalysts found in Cyanoacrylate-type glues, Hot Stuff, Super T and Special T are activated with a separate aerosol or pump bottle solution, with different formulas to regulate setting speed for your application.

Several fabricator users have revealed that Hot Stuff is an extremely fast and cost-effective solution for retouching small scratches and repairing chips in most kinds of stone.

Repairing Stone with Hot Stuff

Hot Stuff quickly and easily repairs scratches. Just squeeze out enough Hot Stuff to cover the scratch, apply activator, and immediately remove any excess with a razor blade.

Then, just lightly polish the area with extra-fine steel wool or a buff pad.

Manufacturer's Q & A:

QUESTION: Do the glues (sku #’s 16898,16900,16901) set up eventually without the accelerator?

ANSWER: All of our glues will eventually cure with or without an accelerator. If the glue is between two parts and there is some pressure on the parts, it will cure quickly. If it is just sitting on a surface, the cure speed will depend on how hot and humid it is. The hotter and more humid, the faster it will cure, but this will still be much slower than using an accelerator. It can take hours to cure if it is sitting on a surface and no accelerator is used. For example, when someone is filling in a chip in a granite countertop and they don't use accelerator, that glue may take hours to cure, and then they still may need to trim off some excess. If they use the accelerator, the glue will cure in a matter of seconds, and they can trim the excess if needed right away and be done. The accelerator needs to be used when bonding granite together to make a countertop because some of the glue will tend to drip out before it cures without an accelerator. Basically, with granite countertops, some applications can be done without an accelerator, but it's a lot easier and faster with one.

QUESTION: Are they basically like super glue?

ANSWER: Super glue is a brand name for cyanoacrylate, but people use the term to describe lots of different brands. Our glues are cyanoacrylate, but cyanoacrylate glues are not all equal. The glues people usually describe as super glue are typically cheap hobby-store type glue that is mainly used for models. There is a reason that our glues have become widely used in the natural stone countertop industry while other cyanoacrylates have not... ours are durable, reliable, and trusted for critical applications and not just hobby applications. So yes, our glues are the same type of adhesive as super glue, but there are differences in quality.

QUESTION: What’s the difference between NCF Stone Accelerator (#16913) and NCF Quick Accelerator (#16902)?

ANSWER: The NCF Stone Accelerator (#16913) is significantly slower than NCF Quick Accelerator (#16902). The tradeoff is that it won't discolor granite as NCF Quick and other accelerators are prone to doing when over-sprayed. When using NCF Stone Accelerator, please be sure to allow extra time for the glue to harden compared to NCF Quick. When filling a deep gap, such as a deep chip in a countertop surface, apply the glue in layers of approximately 1/16" and cure the glue with NCF Stone. Be sure the glue has hardened before moving onto the next layer, or you may end up with glue that hardens on top, but not underneath.
