Supply Chains Still Impacted by Covid-19

If you’ve done business with us for years or even for a short period of time, you know that we always do our best to get the products you need at the lowest price in the industry, while still offering great value. Over the last year and a half, all sorts of industries have been impacted by shortages and supply chain constrictions. The stone industry is also being impacted by several factors. The delivery of products is a bit more difficult than usual and shortages of containers world-wide are putting additional bottlenecks within the supply chain.

Covid-19 is still having a huge impact and it is having an effect on freight costs. Everyone is paying more surcharges from containers, to ground shipments to freight shipments. There are new Freight Peak Surcharges that went into effect on Monday, July 5th within the shipping segments. This is just for a small group of zip codes that are having huge capacity constraints. This effects 7 service centers out of the whole country. Any shipment moving to one of the affected zip codes will have an extra surcharge added. These areas are Seattle and Tacoma ,WA; Stockton, CA; Medley, FL; Cinnaminson, NJ; West Long Island and Long Island, NY.

BB Industries is committed to serving you better and offering you the best of service and support in the stone industry. We hope that this notification demonstrates our transparency and devotion to partnership.
